William R. "Billy" Albritton, age 77, passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at his residence.

Billy was born in Savannah, Georgia, and lived there for many years before making Richmond Hill his home in 1994. He retired as Safety Manager for Industrial Metalworks after many years of dedicated service.

A devoted public servant and community leader, Billy proudly served as a former Richmond Hill City Councilman and was a past president of the Richmond Hill Lions Club. He also served as chairman of the Richmond Hill Planning and Zoning Board. Throughout the years, he generously gave his time to numerous community organizations and events, including Relay for Life and the Great Ogeechee Seafood Festival, where his dedication and willingness to help made a lasting impact.

Billy was truly a jack of all trades and could fix or build just about anything. While he enjoyed staying busy, nothing brought him greater happiness than spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were the pride and joy of his life.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sheila Albritton; two daughters, Joni Riser (Bradley) and Jennifer Dilas; his brother, David Albritton; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be private, and Billy will be laid to rest in Bonaventure Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association in Billy's memory.

Billy will be remembered for his kind heart, generous spirit, unwavering work ethic, and selfless dedication to his family and community. His legacy of service and the many lives he touched will not be forgotten.
