William "Bill" E. Miles, age 89, passed away Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at St. Joseph's Hospital.

Bill was born in Savannah, GA.  He was a member of the Lake George Community for many years and was a past POA president.  He was a member of Solomon's Lodge #1 F&AM and the Elks Lodge #183 where he was a Past Exalted Ruler.

He was a U.S. Army Veteran and a member of the Bryan Fisherman's Co-Op.  He liked shrimping and enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle.

Bill and Ruth worked side by side for over 50 years as the owners and operators of Lake George Get-n-Go store.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Lee Freddie Miles and Aleathea Helen Lightsey Miles; brothers, William Fred Miles, James Larry Miles, James Roland Miles; and a sister, Jacquelyn Little.

Bill is survived by his wife, Ruth M. Miles; two sons, Randy Miles (Jami) and John Miles; his sisters, Betty Joice Pumphrey, Barbara Queen Hinely, and Deborah Lee Miles; his grandchildren, Shane Warren, Justin Miles (Dana), James Bragg, and Robert Miles (Allison); great-grandchildren, Alex Miles, Amelia Miles and Aiden Bragg.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 5, 2023 at Richmond Hill Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to the service.

There will be a private family burial at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
