William Franklin MacMillan passed away July 31st surrounded by those who loved him.

Warm and friendly to everyone who met him and loving and generous to everyone who knew him, William (Bill) will be dearly missed by everyone who was blessed to have this kind soul in their lives.  A native Savannahian, Bill was many things: a proud veteran, a little league baseball coach, an entrepreneur and hard worker, an avid fisherman and hunter, and a loving father, grandfather, and a wonderful husband.

After high school Bill joined the Air Force during the Vietnam War.  Upon his return to civilian life he met the love of his life, Cherrie Reis, who he married and had two sons with, Travis and Jason.  They were happily married for 47 years. Bill was vice president of his family's business, Alloy Industrial, and former co-owner of Badger Rentals.

He was a good man and he will be dearly missed.

A celebration of life will be held at 4:00 p.m., Monday, August 6, 2018 at Kings Ferry Boat Ramp Park with military honors provided by the U.S. Air Force. The family will greet friends 30 minutes prior to the service.
