Mr. William Jackson Warnock (Bill), 95, passed away on June 22, 2022 at Station Exchange in Richmond Hill, Georgia surrounded by family.

Bill was born in Glenwood, Georgia to the late Willis H. Warnock and Carrie Sears Warnock.  Soon after graduating high school, Bill moved to Savannah where he met the love of his life, Ruby Senn. They soon married and before her passing celebrated their 70 th wedding anniversary. He was a devoted husband, daddy, PaPa, and Uncle Bill. His grandchildren and great grandchildren gave him much joy. He spent much time with his grandsons, but especially enjoyed their trips to the Little Ocmulgee State Park and to the family farm.

Bill was a member of First Baptist Church of Richmond Hill Georgia. He was an ordained deacon and served in many capacities. But, the service he enjoyed the most and for what he is most remembered was his time spent as hospital chaplain. He touched many people as he served in this ministry for nearly 25 years.

Bill was an excellent woodworker and enjoyed supporting his wife's arts and crafts business in this way for several years. He was also an excellent gardener and enjoyed growing tomatoes and other vegetables every year his entire life. What he enjoyed more than growing the vegetables was sharing with friends and family. Bill was a dedicated Braves and Georgia Bulldogs fan.

Bill was employed by Union Camp Corporation for 35 years and retired in 1985. He was very proud of his service in the United States Army from 1945 to 1946 and again from 1952 to 1954.

Bill will always be remembered and missed as the patriarch, the rock, of his family. He was always the one to go to in times of need.

Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Senn Warnock, infant daughter Vicky Lynn Warnock, and brother Elbridge. He is survived by his two children Mike (Sherry) and Sheri (Chris); grandchildren Dustin, Josh (RaeAnne), Cody (Bri); great grandchildren Asher, Sawyer, Ila, Theo, and Cal; sister Carol Woodall (Robert), and several nieces and nephews. Bill loved getting pictures of his great grandchildren and especially liked when they visited and pushed him around the pond.

The family wishes to give special thanks to Station Exchange, Regency Hospice, Dr. Holland and staff, and the many loyal friends who regularly visited him.

Visitation will be from 12:00 to 1:00 and the service will be from 1:00 to 2:00 Saturday, June 25 at Richmond Hill Funeral Home.
