William F. (Bill) Cook (July 11, 1934 – October 9, 2018)

Bill went home to be with his Savior on October 9, 2018.  He was born at Grady Hospital in Atlanta, GA.  He was a graduate of Georgia State College, and lived in Savannah working as a Pharmaceutical Salesman for Rorer, now Aventis-Sanofi Pharmaceutical Company, for 35 years.

He retired in 1998 but not before earning Sales Rep. of the year numerous times, the Vice President Award for the Southern Region and being placed in the Rorer Hall of Fame for exceptional sales and service.

Bill loved and believed in the local church, Bible studies church visitation and investing in the Kingdom of God.  He served faithfully at Bible Baptist Church for over 25 years, First Baptist of Richmond Hill for 5 years and since October 2001 was a faithful member of Corinth Baptist Church where he served until his illness prevented him in 2018.  During this time he was a deacon, trustee, Sunday School Superintendent, worked in Awana and also worked in Sunday school through visiting both members and prospects.  He will be remembered as a faithful servant to the Kingdom of God.

He was a servant, giver, and faithful mentor not only in the churches he served in, but also to his family.  He was a faithful husband for 62 years, a loving father to his two daughters, 2 sons in law, his grandchildren and great grandchildren.  He is survived by his wife, Midge, his two daughters, Debra Spidle (Ken), Kimberly Shepherd (Mark), his grandchildren Matthew Spidle (Joy), Daniel Spidle (Jesse), Rachel Shepherd, Amanda Spidle, Mark Shepherd Jr., and Brent Shepherd, 5 great grandchildren and sister, Jackie (George) Ward.

His life will be celebrated on Friday, October 12, 2018 at Corinth Baptist Church.  Family will receive guests at 10:30 am and services will begin at 11:30 am.  In lieu of flowers, Bill requested people give to the St. Jude Children's Hospital in his memory, or Corinth Baptist Church.
