William Dean Chitwood, born August 18th, 1959. He was Deano to all who knew him best, and in  some circles, "Dean Dollar" because everything he touched flourished and thrived has  unexpectedly passed away. He has joined his Anunnaki brethren in the sky on Saturday, July  13th, 2024. Deano was known for many things in life like his unwavering loyalty, love of family,  passion for life, weird Ancient Aliens conspiracy theories, and of course his corny dad jokes; one  of the last jokes he told was, "You know what the little dog said when he got his tail cut off? It  won't be long now." Our hearts are all heavy and the world a little less bright with the loss of  such a magnetic and magnanimous soul.

Deano's love for his grandchildren was only rivaled by his love for life and taking time to enjoy  the little moments such as fishing with his brothers/ grandchildren, riding motorcycles, and  enjoying music on the back porch with his good old boy Augustus "Gus". Deano's spirit was  one of a kind and full of love, compassion, and generosity; these treats ensured he'd never meet a  stranger and do his best to make their day a little better along the way; whether that meant giving  the shirt off his back or just sit and listen, he was there to help.

Deano's number one gal Pamela, was the love of his life, the mother of his children, and his rock  and sometimes the hard place when he was stubborn. He knew she would always be by his side  to support him through anything life had to throw at him. His daughter Jennifer knew that he  was proud of her and loved her without question. Deano was extremely honored to aid his son in-law David on his path to HVAC certification and he showed such love and pride while  mentoring him through his education. His grandchildren, Bryce and Charley, were the breath to  his lungs, the joy and love he built with them is stronger than any metal on earth and forever  lasting. Deano was a caring son and brother, he maintained a close relationship with his mother,  Dorothy, and his siblings, who were a constant loving presence in his life.

Deano is preceded in death by his son, Joey Chitwood, grandparents, Herman and Nellie  Bridges, Father Rufus Chitwood, stepfather Troy Patterson, brother John Chitwood and sister,  Gwen Nutt. Dean is survived by his spouse, Pam Turner, daughter Jennifer Newman, son-in-law  David Newman, grandchildren Bryce Cook, and Charley Newman, mother Dorothy Patterson,  mother-in-law Sonja James, brother Bart Chitwood, sisters Tina Lucas and Rhonda Hood, step brothers Kenneth Patterson and Danny Patterson, stepsister Linda Overcash and many nieces,  nephews, cousins and friends who will miss him dearly. His love for his family was intense and  unshakeable; a testament to his character and the depth of his heart.

As a member of Youngstown Baptist Church in Blairsville, GA, Deano was known for his warm  heart, generous spirit, and past service at many Bible Camp events. Services for Dean will be on  Saturday, August 10th at 2 PM at Youngstown Baptist Church at 172 Harkins-Young Rd.  in Blairsville, GA. His family and friends will forever remember his adventurous spirit, his  many talents, and the deep, abiding love he had for those around him. Dean's legacy of kindness  and love will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him.
