William Allison Busby III, age 71, passed away May 11, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family and friends. He was the best father, grandfather, and a good man to others. He will be remembered for his kindness, loyalty, and the love he gave so freely to his family and friends.

Bill was a retired electrical engineer for Packaging Corporation of America and graduated from the University of Mississippi in 1977. He was a proud Rebel. Bill lived in Savannah, Georgia before moving to Lakeland, Florida, where he lived for 7 years. He later returned to Georgia and made his home in Richmond Hill in 2023. He was a proud American and loved living near the coast.

He enjoyed woodworking, was a die-hard Ole Miss fan, and loved listening to The Beatles. Those who knew Bill knew how much he loved his family and how proud he was to be a father and grandfather.

He is survived by his son, William "Billy" Allison Busby IV; his daughter, Alison Morrison (Travis); his brothers, Richard Busby and Charles Busby; his sisters, Sue Frost, Jean Frost, Nicki Frost, Angie Busby Johnson, and Freda Busby; and his beloved grandchildren, Aradith, Autumn, Henry, and Tucker.

Bill will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.

Funeral services will be held at Richmond Hill Funeral Home on Thursday, May 14, 2026, at 2:00 p.m., with visitation held one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
