Wendel Quon, a devoted husband, father, veteran, and educator, passed away on July 24, 2025, in Richmond Hill, Georgia. He was 66 years old.

Born on April 13, 1959, in Kankakee, Illinois, Wendel was the son of King Quon and Martha Quon. He grew up with a strong sense of duty and commitment that would guide him throughout his life. After graduating from Warner Robins High School, he pursued higher education at Georgia College and State University and received a Masters Degree from Georgia State University, laying the foundation for a life of service and leadership.

Wendel dedicated much of his professional life to serving his country. He retired as a Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Army after a distinguished career in the Quartermaster Corps. His time in uniform reflected his unwavering dedication to discipline, responsibility, and excellence.

Following his military retirement, Wendel continued to serve others through education. For 13 years, he worked as a teacher, sharing his knowledge and experience with students and helping shape future generations with the same integrity that defined his military career.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Wendel found joy in simple pleasures. He loved fishing, pickleball, and riding his motorcycle—activities that brought him peace and adventure alike.

Wendel is survived by his beloved wife Liz; his son Tony; his daughter Kristen Bostic (Kegan) and granddaughter, Riley; his brother Arno Quon (Lancie); as well as brother- in-law Jim Sutton (Cindy) . He was preceded in death by his parents, King Quon and Martha Quon.
