Wanda Louise Jernigan, age 84, passed away Friday, August 20, 2021 at her residence.

Wanda was born in Jonesborough, TN.  She has lived in Glennville for many before moving to Richmond Hill in 1971.

She was a homemaker and loved gardening and fishing.  She liked Starbucks coffee and watching TV.  Wanda loved everyone and never met a stranger. She would give everyone a hugg no matter if she knew them or not.  She loved her grandbabies more than anything else.

Wanda was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Jernigan, Jr.; a daughter, Janice Shuman; and a great-granddaughter, Sadie Mae Jernigan.

She is survived by her children, Gloria DeYoung (Ronnie-deceased), Deborah Wood (Ken), Waverly Jernigan, Roger Jernigan (Jodie); sisters, Joann Green, Mildred C. Wade and Shirley Ann Allen; 14 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.

Visitation will be from 5 pm to 7 pm, Sunday, August 22, 2021 at Richmond Hill Funeral Home and on Monday, August 23, 2021 from 2 pm to 3 pm at Stoney Hill Freewill Baptist Church in Glennville.

Funeral services will be held at 3 pm, Monday, August 23, 2021 at Stoney Hill Freewill Baptist Church in Glennville, GA with Rev. Justin Anderson officiating.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
