Virginia Marie Lawrence, 97, went home to be with Jesus, Saturday. She will be sorely missed.

Originally, from Alton, Illinois, Miss Lawrence lived in Stanford, CA, where she was the office manager for Dr. DeBakey and several other pioneers in heart transplant research. She spent her later years living in San Antonio, TX and finally moving to Richmond Hill.

She is survived by her granddaughters, Barbara Eloi and Jennifer Coursey; niece, Sharon Stanley; nephew, Stephen Stege, as well as many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted at Oak Hill Cemetery, 11:00am, Wednesday, May 2, 2018.
