Vicki Atwood Sterno, 69, passed away Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at East Georgia Regional Medical Center.

Vicki was born in Fort Campbell, KY.  She was the daughter of the late Lt. Colonel James P. Atwood and Rosa Christine Mobley.

She was a retired school teacher for the Bryan County Board of Education.  Vicki was known for her intelligence, charisma, and sense of humor.  She lived life with an open and deep heart and sense of adventure.

Vicki made friends easily and was always ready to instigate a laugh and share an empathetic tear with others.  She was an entertaining story teller and could weave the most mundane of events into a spellbinding tale of adventure.

She was preceded in death by her father, Lt. Colonel James P. Atwood; her son, Ryan Anthony Sterno; and a sister, Pamela Christine Atwood.

Vicki is survived by her husband, Walter Anthony "Tony" Sterno; her daughter, Jenna Christine Hair; her mother, Rosa Christine Mobley; her sister, Sabrina Atwood Delotell; her grandchildren, Leihana Hair, Haven Hair, Brianne Hair, and Aiden Hair; her niece, Jasmine Fanning; and her nephew, James Delotell.

Memorial services will be held, Friday March 1, 2024 at 11:00 am. at the Richmond Hill Funeral Home.
