Ty Monroe Burnsed, age 54, passed away Saturday, May 13, 2023 at his residence.

Ty was born in Savannah and grew up in Garden City. He has lived in Richmond Hill for the past 32 years. He was a heavy equipment operator and worked in golf course maintenance for many years.

Ty was a civil war confederate re-enactor for 33 years. He participated in re-enactments at Fort McAllister for over 25 years. He also participated in the Gettysburg re-enactment as well as other civil war battles.

Ty enjoyed golf and playing the drums. He was of the Christian faith.

He is survived by his wife Gina Burnsed of Richmond Hill; his daughter Dixie Faith Burnsed of Rincon;

His parents Jimmy and Becky Burnsed of Richmond Hill; his brothers, Ted Burnsed of Richmond Hill, Tim Burnsed of Port Canaveral Fl, and Todd Burnsed (Kathy) of Richmond Hill; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A private memorial service will be held.
