Sylvia E. Hood Yawn, age 70, passed away Monday, September 25, 2017.

Sylvia was born in Savannah, GA. She lived all of her life in Savannah and Richmond Hill.  She was a homemaker and loved knitting, arts and crafts, and ceramics.

She was known for her loving smile and a sparkle in her eye.

Sylvia was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Yawn; a son, Barry Jason Yawn; and a grandson, Joshua Yawn.

She is survived by her son, Todd Yawn of Summerville, SC; two sisters, Monica Herbert and Dahlia Hood both of Richmond Hill; her grandchildren, Logan Yawn, Jessica Yawn, and Joey Yawn; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 29, 2017 at Richmond Hill Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to the service.

Burial will be in Burnt Church Cemetery in Richmond Hill.
