Steven Louis Arnsdorff, age 76, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Richmond Hill, Georgia, on Monday, August 3, 2026.

Born in Savannah, Georgia, he was the son of the late Harold E. Arnsdorff Sr. and Gladys Elizabeth Smith Arnsdorff. Steven was a lifelong resident of Richmond Hill and a deeply devoted member of Bryan Neck Presbyterian Church, where he looked forward to fellowship with his family and friends every Sunday.

A graduate of Savannah High School, Steven initially entered the plumbing trade alongside his father. He later expanded his expertise into the HVAC industry, working with Southeastern Air Conditioning, where he eventually retired. Steven was a remarkably hardworking, honest man who could fix anything. He took great joy in passing those practical skills down, lovingly teaching his daughter and granddaughter how to repair things and understand how the world worked.

He was married to his high school sweetheart, Anne Appleby, with whom he shared 54 wonderful years of marriage. In his leisure time, Steven enjoyed fishing, golfing, and "piddling around the house." Above all, he was a devoted husband, father, and "Papa" who always lent a helping hand to anyone in need. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, including his loyal cat and constant companion, Daisy.

Steven was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Anne Appleby Arnsdorff; their infant son, Michael Steven Arnsdorff; and his brother, Glenn A. Arnsdorff.

He is survived by his loving daughter, Stephanie A. Maxheimer, and her husband, Stephen; and his cherished granddaughter, Zizi Maxheimer, all of Richmond Hill.

A memorial service to celebrate Steven's life will be held at a later date.
