Shirley Ruth Shields, age 90, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2026. She was born on June 23, 1935, in Statesboro, Georgia.

Shirley spent many years living in Midway, Georgia, and the last four years of her life in Bloomingdale, Georgia. She worked for many years as a dedicated bookkeeper before her retirement.

Shirley was known for her vibrant personality and spirited nature—often described as a "firecracker." She was known for cooking a good Thanksgiving dinner.  Shirley also enjoyed traveling, whether boating on the water or exploring the mountains in her camper. Her adventurous spirit and love for life left a lasting impression on those who knew her.

She is survived by her brother, Jerry Doyle (Dorothy); and her nephews, Joshua Doyle (Brittany), Jerry Doyle, and Todd Johnson.

In accordance with Shirley's wishes, no services will be held.

She will be remembered for her lively spirit, her love of family, and the many memories she created with those around her. ❤️
