Shirley Shuman Hodges-Mitchell, age 81, passed away Thursday, February 1, 2024 at St. Joseph's Hospital.

Shirley was born in Richmond Hill and live here her entire life.  She was a homemaker and attended Bethel Baptist Church.

She loved to dress nice and go out to eat.  Shirley enjoyed music and dancing in her younger years.  She was an immaculate housekeeper.

Shirley loved her family, especially her nieces and nephews.  Above all though, she loved the Lord.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Altman and Marie Shuman; husbands, Robert L. Hodges and Howard Mitchell.

Shirley is survived by her two sisters, Margaret Rushing (Hulett) and Veronica O'Quinn (William); her nieces, Stephanie and Laurie; her nephews, Brandon and Aaron.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 3, 2024 at Richmond Hill First Baptist Cemetery.
