Michael Shane Davis, 56, passed away peacefully on November 26, 2025. For the last nine years he made his home in Riceboro, Georgia, after many years in Savannah. He worked as a tool maker for Gulfstream Aerospace for 13 years, a job he took great pride in until his health no longer allowed him to continue.

Shane loved the simple joys of life—BBQing for the people he cared about, spending time in the pool, and pulling for his favorite teams, the Georgia Bulldogs and the Dallas Cowboys. Above all, he loved his family. His grandchildren were the light of his life. Though he could be rough around the edges, he had a heart of pure gold and would give the shirt off his back.

He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Davis; his sister, Shannon Marshall; and his grandmother, Shirley "Mim Mim" Rietman.

Michael is survived by his devoted wife, Tabatha Marie Davis; his five children, Cassey Moe (Roger), Chris Miller (Natalie), Christopher Davis (Paige), Madie Scarborough (Gage), and Micah Davis (Brett Melton); his mother, Dee Jo Davis; and his sisters, Kelly Hough (Randy) and Tiffany Nastasi (Marc). He also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren, Kaydin Moe, Konner Moe, Kylee Moe, Jayce Miller, and Bentley Scarborough; his aunt and uncle, Glenn and Mindy Birmingham; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins who will carry his memory forward.

The family will have a private service at a later date.
