Sister Selena Scriven was born on April 27, 1974, in Savannah, Georgia, to the late Edgar Allen Scriven, Jr. and Ernestine Scriven. She was the oldest of nine children and accepted Christ at an early age, grounding her life in faith.

She was a graduate of Richmond Hill High School and later attended Savannah Technical College, where she studied to become a massage therapist. Selena later moved to Detroit, Michigan, where she became a professional chef, sharing her talent and warmth with all who knew her.

Selena leaves to cherish her precious memories her loving daughter, Adelynn Scriven of Detroit, Michigan; her mother, Ernestine Scriven of Richmond Hill, Georgia; brothers Mark (Donna) Scriven of Newport, North Carolina, Neil (Miranda) Scriven of Newport, North Carolina, Jason Scriven of Richmond Hill, Georgia, and Matthew (Jasmyn) Scriven of Seattle, Washington; sisters Jeanette Scriven of Fort Mitchell, Alabama, Leotha Scriven of Savannah, Georgia, Samantha Thomas of Richmond Hill, Georgia, and Jacqueline Scriven of Hinesville, Georgia; and a host of other relatives and friends who will forever cherish her memory.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, January 23, 2026, at Richmond Hill Funeral Home.

A Homegoing Celebration will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at New Life Church, with burial to follow at Magnolia Memory Gardens.
