Sarah Cordell Forbes passed away Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at Bryan County Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Sarah was born October 14, 1925 in Peachland, NC. She was the daughter of the late M.F. and Eva Dickerson Cordell.  Sarah was retired from Anne's, where she was a seamstress for 20 years.

Sarah was preceded in death by her husband Joe Forbes.

Survivors include two daughters, Janice Roberts (Paul) of Little River, SC and Patsy Goodwin (Frank) of Richmond Hill, GA; one son, Joey Forbes (Joyce) of Monroe, NC; 9 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and several loving nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, May 21, 2018 at Lakeland Memorial Park in Monroe, NC.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Sarah's name to a charity of your choice.
