Sandra "Sandy" Marie Coleman Ward passed away at her home in Savannah on May 29, 2024, at the age of 75.

Sandy was born in Mobile, Alabama on December 8,1948 to the late C.B. and Marie Coleman.

She grew up in Savannah and was a 1966 graduate of Herschel V. Jenkins High School. She retired from The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers after a dedicated and long standing career. After retirement, Sandy spent most of her time with her loving mother and dedicated several years to caring for her. She enjoyed spending her Saturdays shopping at garage sales and she would never turn down a game of bingo.

In addition to her parents, Sandy was preceded in death by her brothers; Steven Douglas "Tiger" and Richard Brock "Ricky" Coleman; a niece, Blaine Bunton; a sister-in-law, Susan Coleman; and two grandsons, Cameron and Dustin Walters.

Sandy is survived by her brother; Bruce Coleman, her children, Heather (Shane) Walters, Kimberly (Hunter) Reed, and Natalie (Corey) Freeman, ten grandchildren; Darian and Evan Gay, Alexis and Caleb McGowen, Rilee Gamboa, Joshua Freeman, and Shania, Mason and Lily Walters, and Grady Reed two great-grandchildren; Mars Walters and Arlo McGowen, two nieces; Brittany Feus and Katie Williford and a nephew; Brock Coleman.

Celebration of life will be held on June 3, 2024 at 10:00am at the Richmond Hill Funeral Home.
