Sandra Kay Vickers, age 72, passed away Wednesday, June 21, 2023 surrounded by her loving family.

Sandra worked as an accomplished registered nurse at Memorial Health University for 34 years.  She made many long term friendships which she treasured.

She was known as being a very strong woman.  Sandra had a great sense of humor and was loving, compassionate and very giving!  When Sandra and Keith retired, they traveled together and enjoyed many beautiful places such as Maine, Alaska, California, Canada, and the Oregon Coast.

They designed and built their own home together for their family where they enjoyed living and life.

Sandra was preceded in death by her husband, Keith Charles Vickers; a grandson, Wesley Maples; her parents, Ezaon and Zola Parrish; her brothers and sisters, Lavon Hewitt, Shelvy Smith, Janice Griffin, and Randy Parrish.

She is survived by her children, Bryan Vickers and Alisha Maples; her sisters, Sharon Perry, Camellia Henry, and Angela Foster; her grandchildren, Bailey Maples, Patrick Vickers, Nathan Vickers, and Sarah Maples; her great-grandchildren, Keith Maples and Maggie Woods; just like a sister, Karen Bedingfield, Kim Vickers and Patty Parrish-Denny.

There will be a Celebration Of Life in Honor of Sandra Vickers on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. at the home of her daughter, Alisha Maples, 139 Mingarry Dr., Richmond Hill, GA 31324.
