Sadie Mae passed peacefully in her home. She was born May 24 ^th, 2019, at Memorial University Medical Center and she met the eyes of Jesus on July 3rd. She brought immense joy to every life she touched during her brief time on Earth.

Sadie is the daughter of Jason Jernigan and Olivia Hanford of Savannah. She was the answer to their prayers, and they waited for her birth with joyful expectation. During her brief visit, she enjoyed cuddling with soft toys, and being held close by her parents, grandparents and great-grandparents. She was loved by all who met her, and will be greatly missed.

Sadie was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Don and Mavis Stuckey, PaPa Talmadge Thompson, great-uncles, Brixon and Dale Stuckey; great-grandfather, William Jackson, Raymond Jernigan, great-aunt, Janice Jernigan.

She is survived by her parents; her maternal grandparents, Sherry and Danny Thompson, William Hanford; great-grandmother, Linda Thompson; aunt Meagan (Justin) and Lux; uncle Christopher (Meaghan) and Liam; many other great aunts, uncles, and numerous cousins; her paternal grandparents, Roger and Jody Jernigan; great-grandmothers, May Jackson and Wanda Jernigan; uncles, Harold Phillips (Katie), Joshua Phillips (Brittany), Roger Hunter Jernigan (Tarrah) and many other aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A funeral service will be held  at 5:00 PM, Sunday, 7 July, 2019, at the Daniel Baptist Church. Visitation with the family will be held one hour prior to the service.
