Ruth Ann Bell, age 68, passed away on January 27, 2026. She was born on December 22, 1957, in Denver, Colorado.

Ruth lived in Richmond Hill, Georgia, for the past 10 years. Before moving to Georgia, she lived in California and Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.

She worked as the house florist and bartender at Ford Field and River Club for 7 years. Earlier in her career she worked at Flowers by Rose. Ruth was the head waitress for 16 years at The Old Post Office Restaurant on Edisto Island, South Carolina. She also worked at Charlie's L'Étoile on Hilton Head Island.

Ruth was known lovingly as "Ya Ya" to her grandchildren, Thomas and Maverick. She had a special gift for making people happy and shared her love of flowers and gardening with her daughter. Ruth loved the beach and enjoyed snorkeling in the Edisto River, where she liked searching for artifacts.

She is survived by her former husband, Douglas Bell; her daughter, Marina Bell; her son, Douglas Bell Jr; her brothers, Mark "Bo" Paulson and Gene Paulson; and her grandchildren, Thomas, Maverick, Trent, and Thorin.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Funeral Home to help the family pay for expenses.
