Ruby Erlene Duerr, age 81, passed away Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at Candler Hospital in Savannah.

Ruby was born in Prestonburg, KY.  She lived in Richmond Hill before moving to Griffin, GA for a number of years.  She moved back to Richmond Hill about 10 years ago.

She was a retired dispatcher/clerk for numerous trucking companies.  She was a member of the Richmond Hill Rock Club and was an avid Air Supply fan.  Ruby watched all the food shows on tv and loved baking cookies for the Richmond Hill Police Department.  She loved decorating for Christmas each year.  She enjoyed her wind chimes and watching the hummingbirds from her porch.

Ruby is survived by her daughters, Tami Steere (Steve) of Richmond Hill and Beth Ridgway (Jerry-deceased) of Kernersville, NC; her step-children, Brent Walden (Zoe), Brian Walden (Tara), Butch Duerr (Dana), and Chuck Duerr; her baby brother, Jim Allen of Ohio; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at Richmond Hill Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to the service.

Burial will follow in Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery.
