Rosemary "Sandi" Mantooth, a devoted mother, cherished grandmother, and a beacon of grace and service, passed away peacefully on May 21, 2026, at the age of 79.

Born in Atlanta, Georgia, on November 7, 1946, Sandi spent her life pouring love into the people and causes closest to her heart. She dedicated her life to the foundational role of being a full-time mother, investing her time, energy, and unwavering support into raising her three boys. For the past decade, she brought that same warmth to Savannah, Georgia, where she lived surrounded by the family she so dearly loved.

Sandi's heart for service extended far beyond her home. Guided by deep faith and compassion, she served as the women's chaplain at Solid Rock Jail and Prison Ministry. Her ministry was defined by a non-judgmental heart and an enduring belief in redemption, offering hope, mentorship, and a listening ear to countless women seeking a second chance.

Whether she was holding a book on a sunlit patio, sharing a laugh with friends, or gathering her family around her, Sandi's vibrant smile and joyful spirit left an indelible mark on everyone she met. She was truly a friend to many.

Sandi was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jim.

She is survived by her devoted children, Tim (Denise), Lesley, and Kevin (Heather); and her companion, Don, who brought great joy to her later years. She remains a guiding light to her four grandchildren, Tricia, Tyler, Katie, and Zach; and her six great-grandchildren, Jaycen, Tensley, Evey, Adler, Blythe, and Timmy.

To honor her beautiful life and lasting legacy, the family will hold private celebrations of life memorials this upcoming summer.
