Ronald R. Burns died June 7 ^th , after many years of battling dementia.

Ron was born in Hamilton, Ohio to Frank and Minnie Burns. He was educated in the Parochial Schools of Hamilton and was a 1960 graduate of the University of Dayton with an Electrical Engineer Degree.

He lived and raised his family in Hamilton for 34 years being active in the Elks Bowling League. He loved bowling and golf.

In 1994 he and his wife moved to Richmond Hill for a job opportunity with Dixie Crystal. He was delighted with this move for the chance to golf year round.

After retirement he was active in the community serving on the Historical Society board for many years. He helped move the Bailey Carpenter Barber Shop to the museum grounds. He served on the EMC Foundation Board for many years.

He was a volunteer starter at the Sapelo Hammock Golf course and along with his wife was Coordinator for the Friends of Sapelo.

Ron was a member of St. Anne's Catholic Church and Council 10866 of the Knights of Columbus.

He was a faithful volunteer for the Food for the Soul Soup Kitchen and the Backpacks of Love.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Mary, his sons, Paul (Anne) of West Chester Ohio, Steve, of Richmond Hill, Mark, of Seattle WA, and Tom, of Richmond Hill; and four grandchildren, Jonathan, Jessica, Nathan and Katherine.

May our real Ron, husband, father, grandfather, and friend rest in eternal peace.

Visitation will be held in the Narthex of St. Anne's on Saturday, June 10, 2017 from 12pm to 1pm.

Mass of Christian Burial will follow in St. Anne's Catholic Church at 1pm. Burial will be in Burnt Church Cemetery.
