Ronald "Ron" Joseph Gizzi, 80, of Cumming, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, surrounded by his loving family at home, after a hard-fought battle with pancreatic cancer and pneumonia.

Born in New Haven, Connecticut on September 28, 1945; Ron was the son of the late Joseph and Mary Porto Gizzi. Ron spent his early life in Connecticut, where he worked as a telecommunications engineer and met the love of his life, Anna. They were married on May 26, 1990, and soon welcomed their first daughter, Teresa "Terri" Gizzi. Ron's career later brought the family to Littleton, Colorado, where they welcomed their second daughter, Suzanne Gizzi. The Gizzi family eventually settled in Richmond Hill, Georgia which they proudly called home for 22 years.

After retiring from his telecommunications career, Ron decided to pursue an entirely new path in real estate. He spent his second career as a RE/MAX real estate agent, a profession he truly enjoyed, before officially retiring at the age of 78. Ron and Anna later moved to Cumming, Georgia to be closer to their daughters.

Ron enjoyed solving problems, working with his hands, and helping anyone who needed it. He was known for his intelligence, kindness, and selflessness, and many knew him as the man who could fix anything and everything. Ron was a devoted husband and father who cherished his family more than anything. He especially took great pride in the life he built with Anna and his daughters.

Ron is survived by his loving wife, Anna Gizzi (Gbur); his daughters, Teresa "Terri" Gizzi and Suzanne Gizzi; his son-in-law, Carter Nicely; Terri's longtime partner, Christopher Cheek; and his sister, Joan McCarthy. He was preceded in death by his sister, Marguerite "Margie" Colantonio.

Ron will be truly missed by many. A visitation for Ron will be held at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church in Savannah on Tuesday, May 19, at 10:00 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m.
