Robert G. Sheplar, age 72, passed away Monday, September 5, 2022.

Robert was born in Connersville, Indiana.  He lived in Texas for a number of years before moving to Richmond Hill in 1989.

He was a graduate of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.  He retired from the U.S. Army as a Chief Warrant Officer, having served two tours of duty in Vietnam and a tour of duty in the Persian Gulf War.  Robert flew Cobra and Apache helicopters while in the Army.

He was an avid old cars enthusiast, and he enjoyed U.S. military history, especially the Civil War and World War II.  Robert was intrigued with the Wild West.

Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Sheplar.

He is survived by his daughter, Lauren Sheplar of Charleston, SC; his mother, Leatha Grace Sheplar of Indiana; his sister, Linda Scherzinger of Idaho; a nephew, Kevin Sheplar; and a niece, Savannah Hovis.
