Robert Carroll Manes, age 75, passed away Friday, January 10, 2025.

Robert was born in Statesboro, GA.  He has lived in Richmond Hill for the past 35 years.  Prior to that he lived in Savannah.

He was a graduate of Savannah Christian School.  Robert was the founder and former owner of Savannah Drive Line and Hydraulics in Savannah.  He loved sitting around and talking to all of his customers when they came in.  He enjoyed rebuilding and fixing engines in his spare time and he liked repairing things around the house.  In his younger days, Robert liked coaching recreation baseball when his son Charlie played.

Robert is preceded in death by his son, Robert Charlie Manes.

He is survived by his wife, Collette Manes; his daughter, Shelby O'Connell; three sisters, Margaret Pye, Bobbi Harrison (Sonny), and Sue Smith; his grandson, Cruise O'Connell; and several nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held from 1:00 pm to 3:00 p.m., Thursday, January 16, 2025 at Richmond Hill Funeral Home.

A private burial will follow at Gravel Hill Cemetery.
