Robert "Bob" Hunt, 79, of Richmond Hill, Georgia. passed away Thursday, August 18, 2022, in his home in Georgia.  He was born May 10, 1943, in Corry to the late Robert W. and Phina Hunt.

Bob led a very active life.  He graduated from Corry Area High School in 1961, where he played basketball and baseball.  He continued his love of baseball as a member of the South Erie County Softball League for many years. He also enjoyed bowling, for which he received a 300 ring, and was a well respected pool shooter around town for years. He was an avid golfer, his most beloved sport, for many years at both North Hills and the Country Club, and he continued to enjoy the sport until his passing in Georgia.  Many of these sports he shared with his sons as they began to take an interest in the same athletic pursuits.

In his younger years, he worked at the Corry Journal and then for General Telephone installing direct-dialing equipment.  He was a transportation manager for Corry Jamestown for several years and then purchasing manager at Corry Contract.  After retirement, he continued to work for the Corry Auto Auction. Upon moving to Georgia, he drove cars for Enterprise until the time of his death.

Robert "The Bobfather" Hunt moved to Richmond Hill, Georgia several years ago.  Once there, he quickly made many friends that now consider him family. An avid golfer, he never missed an opportunity to play his weekly rounds with friends, and always enjoyed the yearly golf trip to Myrtle Beach, SC. He was a loyal fan of the Cleveland Browns and Penn State Nittany Lions as well as being a walking sports encyclopedia. He was a weekly favorite at the local karaoke and was well known by ladies as a dancing partner. His smile was contagious and would make all of us feel right at home and would light up any room. His work ethic was beyond compare and generous spirit was loved by all. He will be greatly missed by all of those who had the pleasure of meeting him.

He will be dearly missed by his family living all over the world, especially for his great sense of humor.  His ability to make others laugh with his silly jokes and stories that he made on the fly brought much joy and laughter to many who knew him. He is survived by five children: Scott (Kristen) Hunt of California, Cheri (Rick) Quirk of Corry, Pennsylvania,  Patrick Hunt (Sahlee Àdriano) of the Philippines, Christopher (Hikari) Hunt of Guam, and Michael (Melanie) Hunt of Salisbury, Maryland. He will be especially missed by Karen Hunt and Sarah who resided in Georgia with him.  He also had many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  He is further survived by three siblings: Ronald (Hazel) Hunt of Towanda, PA, Donna Himes of Florida, and Barbara Bemis of Corry.

Bob's remains have been donated to the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, a medical school in Georgia, for rheumatoid research.  A funeral service will take place next summer when many of his family members return to the area.
