Richard Lynn Jones, 77, passed away August 1, 2025 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Savannah, GA.

He is survived by his wife, Jeanne Sowell Jones; son, David Jones of Bogalusa, LA; Sister, Cindy Riley(Lynn) of Andalusia, AL; Brother, Terry Jones of Chipley, FL; Grandson, Dreaux Jones; an Aunt, Gloria Canova; Step children, Melanie Bruno (Craig), Jeremy Zettler (Marnie), and Katie Osteen (Jay); several step grandchildren, and three great grandchildren, along with several cousins.

Richard was a CEO of several Transit Systems throughout the United States. After retirement, he was employed by the Westin Savannah Harbor Resort where he enjoyed meeting and assisting guests from all over the world.

A private burial service with the family will be held on Monday, August 4th, 2025 followed by Memorial Service at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church Richmond Hill with visitation being held one hour prior to the service.
