Raymond G. McKenzie, Sr., age 70, went to be with the love of his life Virginia Ann McKenzie in heaven on Thursday, May 23, 2109 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Savannah. Raymond was born in Charleston, SC. He lived in Atlanta many years before moving to Richmond Hill 26 years ago.  He was a retired car salesman and former owner/operator of Wholesale Cars of Georgia.  He was an avid gun and knife collector. Raymond was a member of Silk Hope Baptist Church.

Raymond was always there for his family and friends. He loved his family dearly.  Raymond never passed judgment on anyone.  He was a friend to all.

Raymond is survived by his children, Glen Evans (Pam), Daphne Harrell, Carol Luke (Terry), Gregg McKenzie, Jr., Mitchell McKenzie (Bethany); sister, Lisa Bledsoe (Jason); brother, George Bradford McKenzie, Jr., Mitchell Clarence McKenzie (deceased); grandchildren, Lindsey, Zachary, Glen, Jr., Lacey, Gregg, III; great-grandchildren, Sammy, Maddie, Terri Jean, Madilyn, Layla; and his companion, Deborah Sue Edenfield.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at Richmond Hill Funeral Home Chapel.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Entombment will follow at Hillcrest Abbey East Cemetery in Savannah.
