Ray "Pappy" was born in Pine Run, Michigan February 21, 1941, son of Arlene Freese and Elmer Eurich. He was married to Genette for 48 years, living in Flint before moving south to Richmond Hill, Georgia for the last 16 years.

Ray was a graduate of the Flint Barber College in 1964. That led him to a career in barbering of 44 years, mostly at Village Family Hair Design which he built on his family's property at the corner of Genesse and Mt. Morris Rds.

Ray had a deep love for his family, followed closely by his love of old cars and Harley's. Often times, he spent more time working on the "Model A" or the "Merc" than anything else. There was never a thing that Ray couldn't fix. Family and friends would always have projects or things set aside for him to repair on his next visit. You could always count on him with a quick witted response to funny little saying...if you said you wanted something...How does it feel to Want?!

Ray is survived by his wife, Genette of 48 years, daughter Yvette (Scott) Karnibad of Richmond Hill, Georgia, grandson Jarrett (Carly) and granddog Josie, granddaughter Colette. Son, Tony (Jennifer) Cook of Grand Rapids, Michigan, grandsons Christopher (Izabel) Jasperse and great-grand children Sophia and Max; Steve (Jenni) Powers, great-grandson Parker; Cody (Abby) Powers and great-granddaughter Georgia; Alex (Victoria) Powers. Son Troy (Jeannine) Eurich, of Vasser, Michigan. Sister-in Law, Brenda Morgan, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Special friends Peggy Brunner and Patty Lucky. He was preceded in death by brother John Cooper.

Celebration of Life at Richmond Hill Funeral Home Thursday 7/16/2026 3-5:30pm. For those that are unable to attend, there will be a celebration of life in Michigan at Berean Baptist Church in Grand Blanc on Saturday August 15, 2026 from 1-4pm.
