Ray Knight, age 72, passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at Hospice Savannah.

Ray was born in Mooresville, NC. He lived in Savannah for many years before moving to Richmond Hill 10 years ago.  He was a U.S. Navy Veteran and a member of Richmond Hill First Baptist Church.

After the military, he started working for General Electric. He then moved on to Gulfstream where he worked for over 20 years.  Ray loved guns and making guns.  He was an avid fisherman and hunter.  He loved the Atlanta Braves.

Ray is survived by his wife, Faye Knight of Richmond Hill; his daughters, Christina Knight (Casey Van Kouwenberg) of Richmond Hill, and Cheryl Cruz of Midway; a son, Jeffrey Knight (Tracy) of Allenhurst; his brothers, David Knight of Gastonia, NC and Kenny Knight of Rockwall, TX; ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, May 19, 2109 at Richmond Hill Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Doug Crawley officiating followed by military honors.
