Phyllis Tabakian McShane died March 30th, 2023 at her home in Midway, GA among family and friends. She was the daughter of George Saraf and Mary Gannam Saraf. Oldest of eight children, she was born in Savannah on April1, 1929.

She attended Sacred Heart School and graduated from St. Vincent's Academy for Girls in Savannah.

Phyllis received  a four year scholarship to St. Agnes College in Baltimore as well as many academic achievements. Phyllis was a straight "A" student from the start of Grammar School through High School and College.

Phyllis married George D. Tabakian in April of 1949, who later died after 34 years of marriage. She married Henry R. McShane in July of 1988 until his death in 2014, after 26 years of marriage.

She is preceded in death by her two brothers George Saraf and Philip J. Saraf.

She is survived by her six children; George Tabakian Jr. (Sancil), Kathy Hall (Tom-deceased), Cindy Strozier (Bobby), John Tabakian (Lauralee), Michael Tabakian (Cyndy), and Charles Tabakian (Stacy); brother, Antoine Saraf (Beth) and sisters, Maryann Fischer, Antoinette Kastensmidt, Rose Tootle and Iris Smith (David). Step-children; Jerry McShane (Laura), Sheila McShane, and Allison Edgerton (Jeff).

She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 12 step-grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.

Catholic Mass for Phyllis McShane is scheduled for 12:30 PM,  Wednesday, April 5 ^th , 2023 at St. Anne Catholic Church in Richmond Hill, with a visitation at the church prior to Mass from 11 to 12:30. Internment will follow at Hillcrest Abbey East in Savannah GA.
