Phoebe Downing, age 57, passed away Monday, February 22, 2021.

Phoebe was born in Washington, D.C.  She has live in Fleming for the past 8 years and in Richmond Hill and Seattle prior to that.  She was the youngest of 9 children.  She loved bowling, movies, horseback riding, coca cola, traveling, and swimming at the beach.

Phoebe was funny, silly, and adventurous.  She attended Gateway in Hinesville for 10 years and looked forward to going there every day.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Cornelius and Catherine Downing; brother, Cornelius Downing, III; and a sister, Patricia Downing.

Phoebe is survived by her sister and her children, Libby Gondry (Alan), Patricia, Stephen, Christina, and Alexandra; siblings, M.J. Downing, Catherine Clarke, Hannah VanDalen, Joseph Downing, Cornelia Manfre; many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 5, 2021 at Richmond Hill Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to the service.
