Phillip C. Ashley, age 72, passed away Monday, September 30, 2019 at St. Joseph's Hospital.

Phil was born in Swainsboro, GA. He lived in Savannah for many years prior to moving to Richmond Hill 14 years ago. He retired from Ford Motor Credit after 31 ½ years of service and was presently working for LabCorp in Savannah.

He umpired high school and recreational games for over 20 years. Phil liked to fish and he loved football.

He is survived by his wife, Dale Ashley of Richmond Hill; his sons, Robbie Ashley of Griffin, GA and Chad Ashley of McDonough, GA; his brother, Bob Merriman of Wilmington Island, GA; and his granddaughter, Sara Ashley of Griffin, GA.

A visitation will be held from 6pm-8pm, Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at Richmond Hill Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am, Thursday, October 3, 2019 at Richmond Hill Funeral Home.

Burial will follow in Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery.
