Philip "Phil" Joseph Farruggio Jr. went to be with the Lord on the early morning of March 9th, 2022 at 78 years old. He was born on February 10th, 1944 in Bronx, New York. He worked and retired from Johnson Motors in Waukegan, IL after 33 years of dedicated service. He then spent another 17 years working at Ohio Medical in Gurnee, IL before completely retiring at his home in Beach Park, IL. In the fall of 2021, he relocated to Richmond Hill, GA to be near and cared for by family.

As a devoted Christian and dedicated member of his community, Phil volunteered many years of service to Waukegan Church of God and to a number of nursing homes and other organizations in his hometown. Phil loved and adored his grandchildren and great-grandchildren with all his heart, and spent countless hours with them telling stories and laughing the night away. Phil was very proud of his Italian roots, and was known in the family as the "Italian Stallion." He had a passion for helping people whenever possible and leading others to know Jesus Christ his savior. Phil was loved by so many, and will be missed by all.

Phil is survived by his daughters Lisa (Childers) Farruggio and Deana (Eric) Clark, his sons Philip Farruggio ||| and Nicky Farruggio, his siblings Theresa Ciocci, Nick Farruggio and John Farruggio, his grandchildren Missy (Tyler) Shepard, Sara (Darrell) Childers, Jake Childers, Amy Farruggio, Joey (Jessica) Farruggio, Justin (Elizabeth) Farruggio, Alyssa Clark, Brenden Clark, and his wonderful thirteen great-grandchildren.

He is proceeded in death by his father Philip Farruggio Sr., mother Caroline (Santucci) Farruggio, brothers Anthony Farruggio, James "Jimmy" Farruggio, and sister Angie (Pete) Rippey.
