Penelope "Penny" Louise Tarver Love, 61, passed away on October 10, 2024, in Richmond Hill, Georgia surrounded by family.

Born on March 28, 1963, Penny was a vibrant soul known for her extroverted nature who never met a stranger. Penny's deep-rooted pride in her Cajun heritage influenced her life and culinary passions, especially her gumbo. A Louisiana native, she carried the essence of her culture with her even after relocating to Georgia, where she lived for over three decades. It wasn't uncommon for her to call you cher (sha), offer you some food and tell stories of her many adventures growing up.

Penny's life was marked by her profound love for her family, whom she cherished deeply and expressed her affection for daily.

She is survived by her loving husband, Mark William Love; daughters Kristen Danielle Yates, Allyson Denée Yates [Jeremy McAbee], and Savana Amoretté Irita Love; son William Tyler [Paige] Love; grandchildren Andrew Chase Myers, Lillyan "Lilly" Aleasha Maé Myers, William "Liam" James [Tristen] Daly, Azlynn Isabella Louise Yates, Ainsley Scout McAbee, Leviathan "Levi" Jet Yates, Saylor Grace Noelle Dunbrook, and Winnie Jo Love; sister Pam Tarver Lindsey; brothers Pete Tarver and Rick Tarver; and mother-in-law Irita Love. Penny was preceded in death by her parents, James E. and Anita Tarver; brother Jim Tarver; nieces Cristina and Jessica Suarez; and father-in-law Bobby Love.

Educated at Our Lady Queen of Heaven and Saint Louis Catholic High School, Penny furthered her studies at McNeese State University. Faith and rituals were very important to Penny, a devout catholic who cherished the Rosary prayer. Throughout her life, Penny found joy and peace near the ocean, a passion that reflected in her hobbies which included bird watching, gardening, painting, and searching the shoreline for seashells. Penny was also an avid music lover.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 26th at 4:00 PM at the home of Marion and Sarah Alexander in Richmond Hill, Ga. For catering purposes, please RSVP to Paige Love at 912-572-9400 by Tuesday, October 22nd. Guest may wear purple in Penny's honor.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Oceana or any charity focused on the protection of our oceans and marine life, honoring Penny's love for the sea or Hospice House. Her legacy will live on through the many lives she touched with her warmth, her zest for life, and her unwavering spirit.
