Paul Edward Martin, passed away peacefully at the age of 78 on Friday, August 7th, 2026.

He hitchhiked from Tennessee for work in the early 1980's and has lived here ever since. He was a retired master carpenter and a proud Vietnam Army veteran having earned 2 Purple Hearts.

Paul was known for his big heart and unique personality. He enjoyed playing pool and darts, hunting, alligator trapping, and spending time with those he loved. He loved watching Big Brother and Survivor on TV.

He is preceded in death by his father, Jessie James Martin and his mother, Dorthy Maddox.

Paul is survived by his daughter, Amy Hinely-Hiers (Timm), and son, Dannie Hinely, along with his grandchildren Michael Clifton Jr (Miranda) and Mary Ellen Hinely, and a great-granddaughter Henley Cliffton.

Funeral Services will be held at Richmond Hill Funeral Home at 12 p.m. on Thursday, August 13th 2026, with visitation one hour prior to the service.

Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
