Paul Grizzard, age 90, passed away Saturday, January 18, 2020 at Savannah Hospice after a short illness.

Paul was born in Savannah and lived his entire life here. He was retired from Yellow Freight as a truck driver. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, a member of the Roger Lacey Masonic Lodge #722, a member of the Alee Temple where he had played in the Oriental Band.  He was a member of the Wednesday morning DP Club.

Paul loved farming, the outdoors, and helping his neighbors. He was always very active and was cutting trees until his 90 ^th birthday. His favorite hobby was tending to his cows.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lois Moore Grizzard.

Paul is survived by his daughter, Karen G. Darieng (Ben) of Savannah; two sons, Allen Grizzard, Jr. of Savannah and Ronnie Smith (Luanne) of Midway; his grandchildren, Joseph Darieng (Joni) of Savannah, Ali Smith of Savannah, and Lee Smith of Cortez, CO; one great-granddaughter and one on the way.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at Richmond Hill Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at South Newington Baptist Church with Pastor Steve McCoy and Pastor Ryan Ralston officiating.

Burial will follow in the Bethel Cemetery, Savannah, GA.
