Patricia Woods, 79, passed away peacefully on January 9th in Savannah, Ga in the care of Hospice Savannah. Born August 21st, 1947, in Baltimore, Maryland, Patricia graduated from Towson University and taught school in Baltimore.

Patty came to Savannah in 1986, married Earl Woods, and spent 13 delightful years working summers at Snowballs and Stuff across from the Tybee Island Waterslide on 15th Street. Additionally, she worked at SEPCO, and was often seen as Louie the Lightning Bug during Savannah Electric events.

Retiring in 2005 to Statesboro, Patty spent time going to arts and crafts festivals, working the duck pond, taking road trips, cruising, and volunteering at Trinity Episcopal in Statesboro. She spent years as the Director of Communication and working with the Altar Guild. She is survived by her husband, Earl, brother, Billy (Maurie) Gray, nephews Tim and Andy, and seven grandchildren.

An internment service will be held at St. Peter's Episcopal at 3 W Ridge Street on January 24th, at 10:30 am, followed by a reception at 2020 Bacon Park drive at 12 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Humane Society Savannah to honor Patty's love for cats.
