Richmond Hill –Monica Hood Herbert, age 73, passed away Saturday, January 27, 2018.

A native of Richmond Hill, Ms. Herbert spent time in Pennsylvania before moving back to Richmond Hill.  Monica was the former office manager for Saturn of Savannah.

Monica was best known as the fun aunt, who loved dancing, spending time at the beach and most of all did everything she could for her daughter.  The family asks in lieu of flowers to please donate to the American Heart Association in Monica's name.

Monica was preceded in death by her parents , Jesse Lee and Margaret Hood; son, Michael Parker; brother, Jesse James Hood; sisters, Sylvia Yawn and Diane Newport.

She is survived by her daughter, Megan Herbert Morris of Savannah; her sister, Dahlia Hood of Richmond Hill; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at Richmond Hill Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to the service.

Interment will be held in the Greenwich Section of Bonaventure Cemetery in Savannah.
