Miriam Gardner Lewis, age 82, passed away Tuesday, June 11, 2024.

Miriam was born in Charlotte, NC.  She lived in Duluth, GA for a number of years before moving to Richmond Hill in 1983.

She was a retired Registered Nurse having worked for Bryan County Health and Rehabilitation Center, St. Joseph's/Candler Hospital, and Joan Glancy Hospital.  Miriam loved watching birds and spending time in her flower garden.

Miriam was a member of New Beginnings Community Church in Richmond Hill and was very strong in her faith.  She was a good Christian woman.

She was preceded in death by her husband, G. Michael Lewis.

Miriam is survived by her two daughters, Melissa Smith and Mary Lewis; her son, Gary Lewis (Stephanie); 11 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 14, 2024 at Richmond Hill Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to the service.

Burial will follow in Daniel Baptist Cemetery.

The family would like to invite everyone back to New Beginnings Community Church after the burial for a reception.
