Mrs. Barbara was born January 15, 1939 to the late Thurman and Esther Sanders in Savannah, Georgia.  She was one of six children born to the union.  She departed this life on January 17, 2021 at the home of her daughter.

Barbara was educated in the public schools of Savannah, Georgia before attending and graduating from Savannah State University with her master's in social work. Barbara worked at Georgia Regional Hospital, Tidelands Community Mental Health Center, and the Chatham County Sheriff's Department of Behavioral Health Program.  Of all her many accomplishments in life, one perfectly spoke to who she was, Barbara Frazier was an ordained minister.  She was a faithful member and servant of four churches during her life, she was baptized at St. Phillips A.M.E Church, a long-time member of Millers Temple First Born Church of Savannah, New Generations Full Gospel Baptist Church, Savannah and Sweet Home Missionary Baptist Church, Dallas Georgia.  God called Barbara to be a faithful servant in every aspect of her life and she enthusiastically followed that calling within her church, her family, and her community.

Barbara had many ways in which she served and touched lives but one way that will live on for generations in her family is her love and skill for cooking.  Her famous seafood dressing was eagerly anticipated every holiday by every friend and family member who has ever tasted it.  Nothing gave her more joy than cooking for her family.  She was a mother to her natural six and so, so many more through the years.

Barbara was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Samuel Frazier, Sr. July 15, 1956

In addition to her parents and husband, Barbara was preceded in death by a son Samuel Frazier Jr. two brothers, Thurman Sanders, Jr., and David Adam Sanders, and a sister, Senella Pettigrew.

Barbara leaves to cherish her memory, five children, Eric Frazier and (Beverly), Victor Frazier and (Jackie), David Frazier, Joseph Frazier, and Donna Frazier. Twelve grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.  She leaves two sisters Lynnette Robinson and Alvena Hopkins, (Benjamin) one brother, James Sanders, one sister-n-law Gwendolyn Sanders and a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives, loved ones and two special life-long friends, Mrs. Vernell Jackson, and Mrs. Ethel Kearse.
