Michael M. Wise, Sr., age 67, passed away on Saturday, January 3, 2026. He was born in Savannah, Georgia, and lived most of his life in Savannah and Richmond Hill, Georgia, where he had resided for the past 30 years. He previously lived in Ottawa, Illinois.

Michael was a retired handyman. He worked for a number of years with the General Services Administration in Savannah at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers building and the federal courthouse. Even after retirement, he continued working as an Uber driver until his health no longer permitted him to do so.

In his free time, Michael enjoyed fishing and had a deep love for music. He especially loved playing the guitar and writing songs, passions that brought him great joy throughout his life.

Michael was preceded in death by his brother, Larry Wise, and his sister, Cindy Wise.

He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Wise; his children, Michael Mark Wise, Jr., Christina Michelle Wise, Heather Nicole Wise, and Justin Shane Wise; his brothers, Randy Wise, Darryl Wise, and Gary Wise; nine grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews

The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at Richmond Hill Funeral Home.
