Michael Daniel "Danny" Sharpe, Sr., 47, of Ludowici, Georgia, passed away Friday, May 1, 2026, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Danny grew up in Fleming, Georgia, and lived for many years in Chatham County before making his home in Ludowici for the past year. He was a dedicated foreman with DEO Management and was formerly the owner and operator of Sharpe's Fishing Charters. A master captain, Danny's greatest passion was life on the water. He spent over 25 years working at The Ford Plantation, where he shared his love of fishing and hunting with members and built lasting friendships. He was also a proud member of the Curry Ford Hunting Club.

Danny will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his deep love for the outdoors, and the joy he found in sharing those experiences with others.

He is survived by his loving wife, Crystal Abel Sharpe; his daughter, Gracie Mae Sharpe; his son, Daniel Sharpe, Jr.; his parents, Mike and Susie Sharpe; his sister, Penny Wise (Steven); and his paternal grandfather, Coleman R. Sharpe.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 15, 2026, at Richmond Hill Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to the service.

For the service, the family asks that everyone come dressed in "casual Danny" attire.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Danny's memory to your local animal shelter.
