Melony Lynn Righter, age 44, passed away Wednesday, January 4, 2023.

Melony was born in Danbury, CT.  She lived in Carlisle, PA for many years before making Richmond Hill her home 6 years ago.

She was a sales associate for Kohl's in Savannah.  Melony had worked as a drug and alcohol addiction counselor at Dauphin County Prison in Harrisburg, PA.  She was a member of New Beginnings Community Church and attended Bible study at St. Elizabeth's Episcopal Church.

Melony was active in AA meetings and had obtained 1 year of sobriety which she was very proud of.  She really focused on her sobriety, her religion, and being healthy.

She liked cooking and watching crime documentaries.  She loved Starbucks.  Melony enjoyed going to Charleston to see her daughter and she loved spending time with her children.

Melony was preceded in death by a son, Joshua Righter.

She is survived by her children, Samantha Pinedo (Brandon Clayton) of Charleston, SC, Ethan and Matthew Righter of Richmond Hill; her ex-husband and father of her children, David Righter of Richmond Hill; her father, Peter Fusco; her mother, Kathryn Thomas; 3 brothers, Shane Fusco, Anthony Fusco, and Stephen Lush; many aunt, uncles, and cousins.

Memorial services will be held at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, January 15, 2023 at New Beginnings Community Church with Pastor Steve Lane officiating.

Please wear casual clothes to the memorial service.

Melony is at peace and has joined her son in Heaven.
