Matthew Brian Wilmoth, age 17, joined his heavenly father on June 16, 2022 after a hard fought battle with anxiety and depression.

He is survived by his loving parents, Brian and Angel Wilmoth, and his brother, Noah and all of his loving pets, his pitbull Luci, his cats Black, Stripe, Big Kitty, and his best friend Carl of Richmond Hill, GA. He is also survived by his grandparents, Sherry (Mckenzie) and Rick Dennison, Elmer and Kathy Gump, both of Fairmont, WV, and James R. Wilmoth of Rivesville, WV.  His aunts and uncles include Raymond and Stacy Gump of Winston-Salem, NC, Nicole Stemple of Fairmont, WV, Steve and Shelley Wilmoth of Rivesville, WV, Jim Paul Wilmoth of Fairmont, WV, and Brittany Sister of Masontown, WV. His cousins include Megan Wilmoth of Rivesville, WV, Zach Wilmoth of Morgantown, WV, Zayne and Josh Gump of Winton-Salem, NC, and Ethan and Gabby Stemple of Tunnelton, WV.  Matt was preceeded in death by his grandmother, Lois Ann Wilmoth of Rivesville, WV.

Mattie enjoyed riding his dirt bike, skateboarding, spending time with his family, going on adventures, he had a heart for helping others in need, and definitely loved gaming on his PS5 where he met some of his closest and best friends.  He was one of the most generous and kind hearted human beings to ever be around and his comic relief was always perfection. He made us laugh always.  Matt will continue to live on in our hearts forever and his memories will bring smiles and laughter to our painful days remembering his enormous heart and charismatic personality. We love you so very much, baby!!

We would like to thank Richmond Hill Funeral Home for their help through this tragic time. The family will not be holding a service, instead they will have a private memorial for the family in his honor.
