Matthew Arnold "Skippy" Barrett, 49, of Statesboro, GA passed away on February 24, 2022 at 10:25 a.m. due to injuries sustained from a severe car accident while on his way to work. Matt was born in Oklahoma City, OK on October 16, 1972. He is preceded in death by his father Michael Brian "Micky" Barrett. He is survived by his mother Connie Zigelgruber of Rio Hondo, TX, his son Blake Barrett of Seminole, OK, his brother and his wife Brian and Shelly Barrett, of Richmond Hill, GA, brother John Barrett, of Seminole OK, sister Bevin Fletcher, of Seminole, OK, brother Micah Barrett, of Seminole, OK, along with several nieces and nephews and hundreds of friends and the entire motorcycle community.

Matt was a warehouse manager for TitleMax Finance. He was a hard worker and never missed any days of work. He was an exceptional man who lived life to the fullest. He had a contagious smile that would light up the darkest rooms. He was strong in his faith. He was humble, kind and genuine to the core.

A celebration of Matt's life will be held at 10:25 a.m., Saturday, March 5, 2022 at TMT Farms, 16710 Old River Road North, Statesboro, GA 30461.

Matt "Skippy" was the president of Chosen Soldiers Motorcycle Association and spent his free time helping others. His passions were helping the homeless and anyone in need. He would put others' needs in front of his own. Gone from our lives way too early. He will be painfully missed. Matthew 25:40 "The King will reply, 'Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.'
